Marvel’s “Marvels” is getting a Netflix debut on September 23rd, 2018.
It will premiere on the streaming service in two parts: a series premiere on September 24th and a season premiere on Friday, September 25.
The Netflix series will premiere with an exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette and behind-story content, including an interview with “Marvel’s” Kevin Feige.
“Marvels,” which will be the first Netflix series to be developed by Marvel Studios, will be directed by David Goyer (Kick-Ass, The Matrix), from a script by Stephen McFeely and based on a story by Jeff Pinkner and Geoff Johns (Batman: Arkham Asylum, Justice League).
The show is executive produced by Goyer and McFeely.
Netflix said that it has signed a deal with Netflix Studios to produce and distribute Marvel’s first series in five years.
For “Marvel,” which has been hailed as a “great start to a new era for the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” Netflix’s president of original programming Jessica Chastain will produce.
This marks the second time that Netflix has produced a Marvel series in a year, following “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in 2017 and “Doctor Strange” in 2018.
The company said that the new series will be produced in-house at Netflix, which has an exclusive deal with Marvel.
While the Netflix series premiere will not be streamed in full, it will be available to stream on Hulu and other platforms.
In addition to the behind-scenes content, the series will feature interviews with Marvel Studios’ executive producers, including Michael Green and Jeph Loeb, as well as writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Nick Spencer.
